Oat pancake & berries

Returning to an old favourite for my post-Christmas indulgence wind down. With two weeks of over eating - basically since the work party on 14th December - I have gained a small spare tyre around my waist and my jeans are feeling a tad tight. The scales are also giving the sad truth that with all the extra wine, cheese, bread, butter and chocolates I will have to deal with the gain of 4kg (8.8 pounds / more than half stone)!

So with a basically clear calendar for the next couple of months it's time to go back to being on 1300 a day - every day (not just on weekdays as I had been when maintaining).

Goal - get back to 60kg with 27% body fat by Valentines (more than a pound a week in 6 weeks). This should be achievable with consistent daily effort. It will be a challenge - but then that makes it a little more exciting, focus inducing and worth while.

There are other goals in preparation for the big 40 celebrations. They are more about exercise, increased muscle tone, trying out more healthy recipes and proudly wearing a bikini on the big day!

Right. Time to get distracted and get some more water in me! Here's to a happy new year!
