One year of counting!

A non-food post ...about winter gear and validation

1st October marked one year of calorie counting. 365 days of logging food and activities.

Recently I had some nice confirmation of how far I've come. There have been times when I've wondered if I was over exaggerating how much I'd lost - was I really 86kg? Well I had a visit to my endocrine specialist (who was pleasantly surprised to see me after I had visited with my baby son in tow last time since I'd not had periods for seven years previously!) and he was really congratulatory of the way I look now. He'd not seen me since 18months ago - when according to their file I weighed in at 85.3kg and this visit it was 61.1kg (dressed with shoes on).

To see it in writing - and to get a copy of the letter sent to my GP spelling out my weight loss was wonderful validation.

With my first winter as a size 8-10 its also time to do some shopping to update the wardrobe! This jacket a winner - a roomy size UK10 :)

Today I've started updating my pages with recipes of the meals I've been posting. Will continue to work on them over the weekend.
