French Bean & Feta salad (Detox - Day 2 side)


With the gym work out and walk under my belt I also enjoyed a scrummy side salad. This was also altered with less nuts and cheese to make it only 170 calories.

90g fine trimmed beans = 23
18g (about 2 medium sized) sundried tomatoes (drained) = 31
4g (about 1 heaped teaspoon) almond flakes = 26
18g (about 2cm cubed block) low fat feta = 35
30g (half ball) half-fat mozzarella = 55

This salad provides 13g protein and 10g fat




With a fuller dinner I then ended the evening with a cup of decaf tea (10 calories).

Starting each day with the usual 1000mg evening primrose oil (10 calories) today's consumption came to a total of 1447 calories – balancing out at about 1000 calories when taking in to account the exercise.

One more detox day to go and I’ll have balanced out my body after a (some-what) indulgent holiday. The day after that - is my birthday! So I'll enjoy a day of a few choice treats (already chosen and keenly anticipated) and then I'll continue with maintaining as usual on 1300 a day in the week and a bit more in the weekends.
