With a half hour walk down to a fun fair (and managing to avoid
the temptations of candy floss, fudge and cupcakes!) I enjoyed healthier sweet
treat with a date and a few almonds that contain the fat and protein to avoid a
sugar ‘peak’ (and therefore post sugar low). The apple took me over my usual
100 calorie limit for a snack but hey, it’s a detox day and I avoided the
temptations.
10g (approx. 1 medium) date = 28
12g (approx. 10) almonds = 72
1 small apple = 71
